Elmo is EVERYWHERE!

So, up until a few weeks ago, our boys had never seen sesame street. The only things they watch are Signing Time, Baby Einstein, or the Motab.

But a few weeks ago, Elmo entered our lives. It all started with a sesame street puzzle we got from a friend (thanks Leslie!). As the boys put it together, I would tell them who all the characters were in some sort of funny voice...monster-like for Cookie monster, bird-like for Big-Bird, and Elmo-like for Elmo. Well, for some reason, they decided that Elmo was their favorite. Mind you, they had never seen him anywhere before! But then he started showing up EVERYWHERE!

A few days later, Micah comes up to me with a diaper saying "Elmo," and it took me a few minutes, but I finally realized that Elmo is on the pampers diapers. The next day, Noah was standing in the kitchen pointing way up high frantically saying "Elmo," and I realized that we have straw cups with Elmo on them. He just HAD to have one. A while later, I was putting Micah's bib on and he started throwing a mini fit, which isn't all that abnormal at bib putting on time, but this time he was screaming "Elmo." I then realized that we have bibs with Elmo on them, and that wasn't the one I was putting on him. Funny that we had all this in the house all this time, and I never even knew it...it took 2 20 mo olds to point it out to me!

A few days after that, we went to a WIC appointment and just as we pulled up, both boys started yelling "ELMO!" Yep, there was a HUGE Elmo painted on the window. I guess WIC is partnering up with Sesame Street to promote healthy eating. We got a free 30 min sesame street video that day all about healthy eating. Elmo is the star. Needless to say, our boys are in heaven!
