Siblings

The other day I needed to go feed Samantha and put her down for a nap, which I like to do in her quiet (well, sort-of...quieter than than the living room), dark room as often as possible. The boys wanted to play out on the patio, but I didn't want to leave them there b/c there were lots of dead bees on the ground (I have no idea why, but there are every day). So, I set Samantha on the ground and quickly started sweeping the patio. The boys were out there with me and I figured it would only be a couple of minutes. She started to fuss, but I just left her. After a few seconds she just stopped, so I ran in to make sure she was okay and this is what I found:

A big change from those first few weeks:

After a few minutes, Noah came and joined them.

These boys really do adore their sister. They have to kiss her on her head, toes, nose and hands every time she goes down for a nap. They LOVE sharing their toys with her. They love to make her smile. If she starts to fuss, I just ask, "Who want to make Samantha smile?" and one (or both and then it is a big fight...) of them runs over to her and makes funny faces, or sings the abc's or Old McDonald until she smiles.

And, she loves them. She does not like to be in a different room than they are even if I am with her. If they are in their bedroom and her and I are in the living room, she will fuss until we go back to their room. Her eyes light up every time they come interact with her and she usually get perfectly calm when they kiss her.

I hope they all stay close!
