The real birthday

My brother Devin, and his amazing wife, Melissa came to visit for a few days this last week. They were actually here for the boys real birthday (their party was two days early). It was WONDERFUL to get to spend some time with them. It is actually the first time since they were married that we have spent any time with just their family and our family. It really was nice. They took a lot of awesome pictures...all of which I thought I uploaded, but CAN"T FIND! So, I will post what I have now, and pray that they will email me what they have soon. They just moved into their new house today though, so it may be a while.

So, the morning of the boy's birthday, they woke up to find animal costumes laid out on the table for them (Devin and Melissa had made them). There was an alligator and a lion. Unfortunately, Micah was a bit scared of the costumes. He wouldn't go near them. In fact, if you brought them anywhere by him, he would run away. So, we only have pictures of Noah in his costume. Since Devin and Melissa left, however, Micah has asked to put his costume on. He got all dressed up as an alligator today, but took it all off before I could get a picture. So, we will work on that and get a picture or two of our little alligator up soon!

A few hours later we headed to the zoo for more fun with animals. They boys always enjoy the zoo, but this time was especially fun with Uncle Devin and Aunt Melissa there. They have a way of making everything extra fun. We had churros and frozen lemonade to celebrate the boys birthday.

The polar bears were especially awesome. The picture only show Melissa and Noah, but all four of them stood at the window for 4-5 minutes while the bears played and jumped in and out of the water...all that close. It was so awesome. Too bad I forgot to get my camera out until the last minute!

When we got home from the zoo, Devin and Melissa watched all three kids while I ran to the store. When I left, they were playing in the little pool on our patio. They got some GREAT pictures of the boys laughing their heads off playing with Devin. They had a great time. When I got home, they had the boys in the bath getting them all washed up for dinner. These two are going to be amazing parents some day!

Thanks for coming guys! We've really missed you.
