He has, however, had a rough couple of weeks. He had a fever the day we brought Samantha home, and started coughing the next day. We didn't worry too much though b/c Micah had just gotten over a similar cold. We had taken him (Micah) to the Dr and she told us it was just viral. But Noah just didn't seem to be getting better. In fact, he just seemed worse. He wanted to sleep all the time, which was a struggle b/c Micah wasn't sleeping. His temp was hovering around 103, and his cough sounded just awful. So, we took him to the Dr after about 8 days. She diagnosed him with walking pneumonia! She said he was almost sick enough to be hospitalized. She gave him a shot of antibiotics immediately, and told us to call if he got any worse in the next 24 hrs, as he still may need to be hospitalized! She also wrote a prescription for more antibiotics and told us to drown him in pedialyte and feed him lots of bananas and applesauce b/c the antibiotics would cause diarrhea. I FELT AWFUL! I so wished I had taken him in sooner. The poor guy! He actually lost about 3 lbs, which is a lot when you only weigh 26 to begin with!
He is doing fine now. He actually seemed slightly better the day after he started the antibiotics and is now back to his old self. He has LOVED drinking "juice" (pedialyte) as they very rarely get anything other than water or milk. He has also had lots of icecream and yogurt to help get the antibiotics down, so life hasn't been all bad.
Otherwise, Noah is just a load of fun. He loves to tease us. He giggles all the time. He loves anything boy-like: dirt, passing gas (it is pretty funny if you ask him), loud noises, trucks, balls, running, rough housing. He actually has quite the arm. He can throw a ball across the room, and is learning to catch.
It is so fun watching him learn to talk. He says funny things all the time like "Bee-nana" for banana.
He is very stubborn and quite defiant. He rarely obeys the first time, and often ends up in timeout. He is a HUGE tantrum thrower when he doesn't get his way. He is always more interested in whatever Micah is playing with than anything we have to offer him.
He is still a cuddle bug. He love to cuddle up and have his back/head rubbed. He loves to give kisses and hugs. He really likes to kiss every part of your face. (eyes, ears, cheeks, chin, neck, mouth, nose etc).
He is a lot of fun to be around as he is almost always happy and just loves to laugh. We love you Noah!
