So, as most of you know, we have been signing with the boys for quite a few months now. They actually know quite a few signs and it has been helpful as a way of communicating. About a week ago, Cory thought that we should start teaching them to fold their arms to pray. He figured if they know that you slap your leg for dog, why shouldn't they be able to understand that you fold your arms to pray? So, every time we pray, we say the word "prayer" and help the boys fold their arms. They usually only keep them folded for a few seconds, but hey, it is a start, right?
So, I wasn't really sure if they were getting it until today. I was reading them a story and there were a bunch of bears on one page. I started pointing out all the "bears." When I looked back at the boys, they were both sitting there with their arms folded! It was so cute!
That is too cute. Smart little boys.
ReplyDeleteThat is so cute. We have been teaching Grant some signs also. One day I was feeding him peas and asked him if he liked the peas and he started doing the sign for please. Little kids crack me up!
