FHE in all it's glory

So...FHE with two 10 month old boys can be rather interesting. We are determined, however to do SOMETHING! We don't ever want them to remember not having FHE. I know, I know...lofty goal, but goals are supposed to stretch you, right? So, lately we have been trying to have FHE with the boys (instead of after they go to bed). Basically, one of us tries to hold both boys

while the other picks a picture out of the gospel library and explains it to them in two minutes or less. It's pretty rare that they last the whole two minutes. Sometimes they barely last a few seconds. So, this last Mon., we decided to end with a fun activity. At least, we thought the boys would find it fun. Turns out it wasn't quite as big a hit as we had hoped. We took them out onto our courtyard and let them have at a big pile of flour. They basically just stared at it. Noah kept trying to get it off of him. Once we added some water though, they both found it a bit more interesting, although then they just kept trying to eat it....oh, the memories!

  1. That is a keeper;you are so clever and fun. When they are a little older, try the worm races (put a big circle on the patio or a piece of paper in the house and everyone puts their worm in the center of the circle- first one out of the circle is the winner. I think this was Chelsea's idea.
Micah's hair looks mighty light since the buzz;how will we tell them apart :o)

  2. Your boys are getting soo big!And their hair is growning back fast. In this picture you can tell Micah is a little bit bigger than Noah, whereas before I would have thought Noah was bigger. It's so funny how when you think they are gonna love something...they don't. Like Ella's 1st birthday, I thought she would just dive into her cake...not so much. She didn't want all that mess on her. Silly babies.

  3. Misty you never stop amazing me! Your two little boys are so lucky to have you and Cory for parents. It makes me so happy to see you with them. I know how very much you both wanted them and you are so wonderful with them!

  4. The challenge will come when they start walking! Next time you could try oatmeal with toy cars for the kids to play. I haven't tried it but my friend says her kids love it. Oh, and do you guys have "The Book of Mormon for Latter-Day Saint Families" for reading with the boys? If you don't, you should go get it. I love ours.

  5. They'll play with their own poop, but they won't play with flour.....Well I guess they are Cory's kids...
