Every once in a while we are still trying to get Micah to take formula. I'm still having problems breastfeeding, so it would be really nice. As a followup to my last post on this subject, he did take a bottle that was 1/4 tsp formula to 1 oz breastmilk, but when I tried to add an extra 1/8 tsp formula, he again refused.
Last week (given this new milk allergy stuff), we decided to try the soy formula. I gave him a bottle completely expecting him to refuse it again, but he drank it right up. However, the next day, he screamed and screamed and screamed when I tried it again. I haven't been able to get him to take it since. Weird, huh?
He absolutely LOVES his cereal. He seriously eats 1 - 1 1/2 cups twice a day. So, my sister in law, Kristy suggested mixing his cereal with formula to see if he would take it that way. We tried that tonight, and the following video is the result. Pretty hilarious!

What I don't understand is that he was still eating it! Granted, he pushed more of it back out than he usually does, but did eat some of it. He wasn't crying and kept opening his mouth for more. We stopped right after the video and made him a new bowl of cereal. I still put some formula in it, but it was very diluted and he ate that just fine, so maybe we are on to something.
