We are Back!!!

We had a great 3 week Christmas break. We visited 5 states (granted, Arizona was just a drive through) and visited many friends and family. We were able to see all our grandparents, stay with both our parents for a while, visit our old ward that we REALLY miss, and see all our siblings except my sister Christa who was in Ecuador. We also took a short trip to Idaho to visit my good friend Lindsay and stopped in Pleasant Grove to see our good friends Brady and Nicki who also just had twins. We saw lots of extended family at a Christmas party hosted by my grandma and played with all our nieces and nephews in Utah and California. We had lots of good food and great company, played fun games like Wii, Settlers, and 500, watched movies and sports in an awesome theater room, took a few good naps, ate some Cafe Rio, JCW's and Bajios, exchanged some great gifts, and strengthened our testimonies of Joseph Smith and Jesus Christ as we celebrated their birthdays.

The boys did really well considering they spent over 40 hours in the car. The only really tough part of the trip was between Utah and Vegas when the boys were sick. They were pretty miserable. I sat in the back the whole time between the two car seats patting bellies and playing binky patrol. They ended up screaming for about the last hour no matter what I did. However, the highlight of those few hours was when I was trying to change Micah's clothes on my lap in the front seat of the car (we were parked) b/c he had just peed all over himself and he exploded out the other end all over my lap! At that point, I couldn't do anything else but laugh. We decided to make the last leg of the trip from Vegas to Cali in the middle of the night and it proved to be a good decision and the boys did much better and slept the entire time.

It was a wonderful trip and a nice break as Cory didn't think about school at all and I had plenty of help with the boys. A big thanks to everyone who hosted us in their homes and fed us and put up with screaming babies. We feel so blessed to have such great family and friends. Happy Holidays!

  1. Oh my goodness the boys are sooooo cute! And I've been trying to ignore it, but now I'm officially baby hungry again even though I'm determined to hold off another few years so I can actually enjoy the stage Anderson's in instead of being pregnant during it like I was when Carter was a little tyke.

  2. What a cute slideshow! I'm glad to see the twinners in so many cute clothes; I only see them in p.j's it seems. They look older with real clothes on. :o)
